Xanadu
21 – 24 May 2026
Ron Hurley Theatre, Seven Hills
Roller skates, Greek gods and 80s dreams are set to take over Brisbane as Xanadu rolls into Ron Hurley Theatre for a limited season.
Blending Greek mythology with roller-disco chaos, Xanadu follows a mysterious muse who descends from Mount Olympus to inspire a struggling artist – sparking a whirlwind of love, ambition and glittering 80s spectacle.
Leading the production are Nykita O’Keeffe as Clio/Kira and Croft Phillips as Sonny Malone. Both are currently performing alongside Sting and Shaggy in The Last Ship at QPAC’s Glasshouse Theatre. They are joined by Chris Kellett as Danny/Zeus, with a dynamic ensemble including Samantha Sherrin (Melpomene), Kennedy Foley (Calliope), Ashleigh Mitchell (Euterpe), Molly Campbell (Erato), Sophia Marzano (Polymnia), Peter Wood (Thalia), Jaya (Terpsichore), and Sam Caruana (Urania).
Xanadu will also bring together a powerhouse creative team, including Director Timothy Wynn (Head Over Heels, Every Brilliant Thing), Choreographer Jennifer B Ashley (Shane Warne: The Musical, A Night With The Villains) and Musical Director Rae Rose (Alice By Heart, A Night With The Villains). The production will feature a four-piece band led by Ruby Tate.
Design is led by Mira Ball Productions’ resident Costume Designer, Jackie Fredericksen and Makeup/Hair and Set Designer, Rosie Humphreys, whose work audiences will recognise from the award-nominated A Night With The Villains and Wondered. Sound Design is by Jacob Cash, with Lighting Design by Carter Firmager.
Producer Elodie Boal said the team behind the project reflects the scale and ambition of the production. “This is an incredibly exciting team and cast to be bringing together for Xanadu, and a big step for Mira Ball Productions as we move into presenting musical works,” said Boal. “The calibre of talent behind this project speaks exactly to the world of Xanadu. It’s going to be bold, electric, camp and entertaining – and that’s exactly the kind of work we want audiences to know us for.”
