Think classical music is all polite applause and predictable melodies? Think again.
Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra shakes things up with Revolution Remixed, a program packed with bold ideas and big emotion. At the centre is Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 Eroica, a work that completely rewrote the rules of orchestral music and still feels powerful, dramatic and modern.
In striking contrast is Mussorgsky’s iconic Pictures at an Exhibition, heard here in a stunning chamber arrangement by Australian Composer Julian Yu. Inspired by an art exhibition, these musical vignettes transform sketches into soundscapes that sparkle with connection and curiosity.
