Award-winning speculative fiction author and performance artist Claire Fitzpatrick debuts her live interactive show at Anywhere Festival 2021, presented by Haus of Beaver Productions.
Mental Illness Is Not A Crime is a one hour immersive, interactive, and live art performance of ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian responses) experiences, an extended and updated version of Fitzpatrick’s performance at Raise The Roof Higher with Vulcana Women’s Circus and Wham! Bam! Cabaret! Slam! with Ruckus Brisbane in 2019. With body painting, letter writing, hair brushing, and back tracings, including partial nudity, audience members are welcome to participate in all areas of the show to experience the tingling, deeply calming ASMR sensations intended to naturally release dopamine and de-stress through soothing, repetitious acts.
Claire Fitzpatrick has previously performed with Glitter Martini, Vulcana Women’s Circus, Ruckus Brisbane, and Velvet Helmet. Mental Illness Is Not A Crime is conceived, created, and developed by Fitzpatrick.
