Through our Quality Time with QT program we are inviting our supporters to join us behind the curtain for play readings with some of your favourite actors, conversations with creatives, practical production tutorials and a celebration of 50 seasons of stories. Together, let’s share our love of theatre by shifting our conversations from crowded foyers into our homes.”
Following the success of Queensland Theatre’s first free online event on April 21, Queensland Theatre Artistic Director Lee Lewis has announced the next Play Club will be held on Tuesday May 12 and will be a live reading of Mr Bailey’s Minder by Debra Oswald. A multi-award-winning Australian author, Oswald is one of the scribes behind the successful TV series Offspring.
The first Play Club was a live reading of Van Badham’s romantic comedy The Bull, the Moon and the Coronet of Stars which drew an audience from across Australia and even the United Kingdom. Lewis has committed Play Club to focus on Australian playwrights and authors.
Play Club is a free livestreamed event using Zoom webinar, however bookings are essential and strictly limited.
