Taringa is off my normal beaten track, but I was out that way to get photos developed a few weeks ago (how hard is it to get film developed these days?! Side note, Fotofast Taringa were amazing). Waiting the one hour until we could pick up the photos, I automatically started looking for somewhere to sit and have a coffee.
The Spot is nothing huge or flashy – we might have missed it if not for this sign on the footpath of Moggill Rd – but the best ones never are. Great service, friendly staff…we only intended to grab a coffee but ended up sitting down for brunch because the menu looked so good.
Food is simple and delicious – my haloumi, avocado, lettuce and tomato sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve had since I can’t remember when. The French toast looked pretty decadent and was reportedly delicious as well. The coffee – from Padre Coffee beans – were great, and it was lovely to sit outside in the sunshine although I can imagine the inside space would be very cozy on a rainy day.
An all-round lovely experience – pop in next time you’re on your way along Moggill Road! It’s easily within walking distance of Indooroopilly shopping centre, too.
