Right at the heart of the Kelvin Grove Urban Village is CocoCozy, an intimate and atmospheric café with something for everyone. I have recently moved from Kelvin Grove, and I miss having it so close!
The vegetarian breakfast is very reasonably priced for a plate piled high with eggs-as-you-like-them, spinach, mushrooms, hash browns and thick-cut toast. Deliciously simple, fresh avocado is a delight slathered onto thick, crunchy sourdough with lemon and cracked pepper. The coffee is exceptional, whether you’re racing out with a takeaway cup, or settling in to one of the swinging wicker chairs to read a book and escape from the world for a while.
Choose a high bench or an egg-shaped hanging chair to relax in as you watch the world go by through ceiling-high glass front windows, or grab a sunny sidewalk table with friends.
Enjoy a full cooked breakfast, well-presented and generous, or grab a flavour-packed brekky wrap on your way out to face the day. Affordable lunch options make mouths water as they call from the daily specials board on the footpath and gourmet salads, decadent muffins and moist sweet breads are appealing at any time of day – my personal favourite is the pear and raspberry! It’s also a great breakfast/brunch spot if you’re in Kelvin Grove for the fantastic markets on Saturday mornings.
