Inside the warm glow of Maraczek’s Parfumerie, Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash clash at every turn; yet outside working hours, each pours out their heart in letters to an anonymous correspondent who seems like the perfect match. Both dream of the moment when they will finally meet this ideal partner, as their real lives remain tangled in frustration and misunderstanding.
Adapted from the classic story that inspired generations of romantic comedies, and with popular modern adaptations like You’ve Got Mail, She Loves Me invites audiences into a world of handwritten confessions, delicate longing, and the tender courage it takes to let someone truly see you.
Unassumingly nestled within Beenleigh Showgrounds in ‘The Tin Shed’ Pavilion Theatre, Phoenix Ensemble has been producing award-winning community theatre since 1993, from intimate small-cast shows to more elaborate Broadway-style show-stoppers.
