Green Heart Fair

Victoria Park, Herston
Sustainability festival Green Heart Fair will mark a major milestone next month, with the 15th edition of this free sustainability event in the heart of Brisbane.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the festival is set to be better than ever in 2023. “Council’s Green Heart Fair has grown from a seed of an idea into a premier event on Brisbane’s calendar and this year is set to be the biggest festival yet with two very special additions to the program,” Cr Schrinner said. “This year, the free family and dog-friendly event will include extra-special appearances from the happy heelers themselves, Bluey and Bingo. Brisbane’s favourite four-legged family will perform three free performances across the day, and 100 lucky families will get the opportunity to meet the iconic sisters in real life.”
The Green Heart Fair will also feature ‘Finding Barrambin’, an art installation created by Queensland University of Technology students that showcases the unique indigenous history of the Victoria Park / Barrambin site, and will include artworks, performances, and an educational walking tour.
Cr Schrinner said all the festival favourites would also return, including free native plant giveaways, artisan markets, live entertainment, and food trucks, as well as displays and workshops for residents to learn how to live more sustainably while lowering their household expenses. Brisbane’s newest member of the transport fleet, the pilot Brisbane Metro, will also be on show.
