Lynch & Paterson’s production of The Pirates of Penzance returns to Brisbane, promising to hit the spot after a long dry spell in the Brisbane musical theatre scene. With two hours of non-stop laughs, mischief, debauchery and romance, The Pirates of Penzance is a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers and an eccentric Major-General.
With all new comedy, costumes and choreography, this production includes local talent from Brisbane and is backed by professional orchestra the Cadenza Chamber Players, who are also part of the action live on stage.
“It was February last year, just before lockdown, that we did our last production which is far too long! We cannot wait to come back with a bang!” said producer Lucas D. Lynch. “This show is rife with stupidly good fun and a great night out…which I think we are all long overdue for that”.
