Shakespeare’s most beguiling tale of magic and mayhem receives a hypnotic makeover this month under the wand of Brisbane Immersive Ensemble (creators of Cluedo! The Interactive Game), with Brisbane Powerhouse set to turn into a forest of delights for The Midsummer Carnival.
Audiences are invited into a carnival-inspired dreamland, where Shakespeare’s timeless comedy plays out against a backdrop of jaw-dropping circus stunts, sideshow antics and tantalising burlesque.
Renowned for their site-specific theatre and reality-gaming experiences, Brisbane Immersive Ensemble will create a carnival complete with sideshow, carnival games, sword swallowers and acrobats within the heritage-listed Stores Building at Brisbane Powerhouse from 24 January – 9 February.
