Are you feelin’ lucky? The players behind Strike Bowling and Holey Moley Golf Club are rolling out a brand new retro gaming playground for grown-ups – B. Lucky & Sons.
Enter through a Pawn Shop front and uncover the lucky hustler’s lair – test your mettle on the range of games including The Walking Dead, Monster Drop, Mario Kart, and the world-exclusive Roller Fortune, and strike it lucky and redeem your good fortune on the impressive range of collectibles in the prize parlour, from vintage Chanel bags to a Playstation 4.

B. Lucky & Sons is housed in the historic TC Beirne Department Store, a heritage-listed art deco building in Fortitude Valley and one of my favourite facades in the Brunswick Street Mall, which has been refurbished over the past two years into a new urban retail precinct.

The drinks list is “a jumble of cultures, fed through a time warp” – ale in dimpled English pint glasses, a jam-on-toast martini, boozy bubble tea cups, a taro-flavoured espresso martini with a gold rim of edible glitter…the list goes on!
The menu includes unusual pizza combinations (bangers and mash, or crispy wontons?) fish ‘n’ chips, chicken wings, and plenty of sides and tapas-inspired dishes to keep you playing.

Every day is fortune-filled at B. Lucky & Sons, so grab your people, dust off your gaming skills, and get along when they open on September 27. More details on the B. Lucky and Sons website.
