Calling all Queensland musicians! Queensland Symphony Orchestra provides an extraordinary opportunity for community instrumentalists from all over Queensland to attend a weekend workshop and performance program through their fourth annual A Day in The Orchestra.
Over the weekend of 17-18 August, 2018, participants will rehearse side-by-side with the world-class musicians from QSO under the baton and mentoring of Benjamin Northey, Chief Conductor of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Associate Conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Participants will perform exciting and challenging repertoire with the Orchestra in the company’s home studio in South Bank, participate in music tutorials, meet and perform with other community musicians from across Queensland, and the weekend will culminate in a concert on the Saturday evening, August 18.
The program is part of QSO’s commitment to make the incredible sound and people or the Queensland Symphony Orchestra accessible to music lovers across the state.
If voice is your instrument of choice, there is also the opportunity to participate in Sing with the Orchestra 2018. Regardless of ability or experience, adults (18+) can sign up for an immersive single-day experience to experience the power of a full symphony orchestra. Read more and book tickets here.
