The largest French film festival outside of France returns to Brisbane from March 8 until April 4. The 29th annual Alliance Francaise French Film Festival boasts a line-up of forty-seven (47) features, two (2) documentaries and a Parisian television series…and Backstreet Brisbane has five (5) double passes to giveaway!
Artistic Director Philippe Platel takes the wheel for his second year, and has selected an impressive line-up showcasing the passion, artistry, and diversity of contemporary French cinema through its screenings and special events. Iconic French film stars will grace the screens of Australia in fifty films over a month, ranging from comedies to dramas to animated films.
The festival is shot through with motifs of courage, friendship, egalitarianism and, for the first time, an LGBT strand in celebration of Australia’s recent, historic, and long-overdue YES vote for marriage equality.
