Pancake Manor

Where?
18 Charlotte Street, Brisbane City
When?
24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Vegetarian & Gluten-friendly options available.

Definitely not a secret, but not a place to be missed whether you’re a local or just visiting Brisbane.
Pancake Manor is my go-to place to take visiting friends and family. Although it’s often busy, it’s worth the wait to sit in that lovely old building – St Luke’s cathedral was converted into Pancake Manor in 1979 – and fill your belly with light, fluffy buttermilk pancakes.

Good service from friendly staff is consistent, and the venue can also be rented out for functions. The Good Knight bar downstairs is also available for function hire.

Being a vegetarian, I haven’t personally sampled the steaks but have heard good things about them. Don’t expect cheap prices, though, as the steaks are about $27. In terms of savoury menu items, I can definitely vouch for the wedges.

The highlight of the menu is, of course, the pancakes. Fifteen different variations from $7-$15 are suggested on the menu, and you can put together your own combinations if you wish. Pancake Manor also makes a very decent espresso and have a plethora of other drinks, hot and cold, to choose from.

Whether you’re looking for a delicious weekend breakfast, somewhere to catch up with friends or a place to eat after midnight, Pancake Manor is a good choice for any occasion.
