Northshore Brisbane with mural locations across Brisbane
Brisbane’s most iconic locations are set for a stunning makeover when Brisbane Street Art Festival (BSAF) returns for its 10th big year. Ambitious, large-scale murals will transform Northshore Brisbane, including pieces from internationally acclaimed street artists Fintan Magee, Sofles and Simon Degroot.
Murals will also brighten DFO Brisbane, Spring Hill and Brisbane CBD’s Midtown Centre with a colourful program of special events, interactive workshops and demonstrations at Northshore Brisbane’s Maritime Green and Superordinary arts space.
BSAF is one of Australia’s largest street art festivals and is expected to attract thousands of people to watch live art demonstrations, engage with artists, and participate in workshops like:
- Meeting Of Styles (10 – 11 May, Superordinary, Northshore Brisbane) is the Brisbane-first iteration of a world-renowned international graffiti initiative, bringing together 40 local and international artists in a weekend of live painting, installations and workshops.
- Street Art Cycling Tour (11 May, Howard Smith Wharves) allows participants to enjoy a guided ride, led by a local street artist, to discover new BSAF works alongside vibrant murals from previous years.
- Aerosol Masterclass (10-11 and 17-18 May, Maritime Green, Northshore Brisbane) will see an experienced aerosol artist guide participants through a collaborative wall piece, introducing the fundamentals of marking, spraying and conceptual approaches.
- Colour by Numbers at Northshore (10 May, Maritime Green, Northshore Brisbane) in which budding artists will complete a mural in this hands-on experience while learning about street art techniques, colour theory and scale.
