Camerata & Paul Grabowsky: The Art Of

This fresh and joyful concert brings QPAC’s Art of the Possible artist, the inimitable ARIA award-winning pianist Paul Grabowsky AO, together with Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, who always perform without a conductor.
The concert program celebrates tradition and reimagines it, including the unveiling of a brand new, bespoke work for piano and strings. Audiences will also be moved by the sensuality and French chic of Ravel’s String Quartet, experience Remember by Jamaican composer Eleanor Alberga, and enjoy a new take on an old favourite in Bach’s Air.
“I’m both thrilled and not just a bit intimidated to have Paul Grabowsky as our guest artist,” said Brendan Joyce, Camerata’s Artistic Director and leader. “What an insightful and thoughtful human being – those qualities shine through in his music making. Artists like this are truly good for the world.”
Camerata’s trademark Wild Card Mystery Guest segment will also feature in the program and as always, join Camerata in the foyer after the concert to meet the musicians and have a chat.
