Drawing inspiration from Stravinsky’s enchanting yet poignant ballet Petrushka and the iconic Ballets Russe, this program evokes an atmosphere of enchantment and allure whilst embracing the bittersweet essence of the human experience. From Russian émigré maestros to the dazzling Belle Époque era of Paris, this concert promises to captivate with masterworks such as Stravinsky’s Petrushka, Tchaikovsky’s Meditation, Fauré’s Pavane, and Saint-Saëns’ The Swan.

The program will also feature the world premiere of a new work by Australian composer Lachlan Skipworth in collaboration with SXS Didgeridoo Soloist in Residence Chris Williams.

The performance showcases the exceptional talent of guest Australian violin soloist Catherina Lee, cellist Karol Kowalik from the Orava Quartet, violinist Courtenay Cleary, as well as other renowned Australian musicians.
