TESTING SITE is a presentation and showcase of Brisbane choreographers and movement makers. It is a platform of new works from Studio1’s community of choreographers, presented over two evenings of short dance and physical theatre works. Witness raw physicality, ideas in motion, and the latest in local and leading artists as they share with you hot new experimental art and contemporary dance:

Studio1 is a choreographic hub for artists to gather, make, create and collaborate. As a micro arts precinct, Studio1 supports the day-to-day practice and on-going development of independent dance and physical theatre in Meanjin | Brisbane.

With support from Creative Australia, Arts Queensland and the Brisbane City Council, 2023 saw the launch of Studio1’s Inaugural Workroom Program. A sector support + capacity building platform for artists with movement practices, presenting a series of residencies, workshops, skills labs and showing opportunities.
