Brisbane chamber music collective Ensemble Trivium present an evening of high-spirited, virtuosic and folk inspired Bohemian masterpieces, along with a freshly composed work by one of Brisbane’s favourites, John Rotar.
As well as the world premiere of Rotar’s Bromeliad Dances for flute, viola & double bass, be transported to the streets of Prague and the Carpathian Mountains with Erwin Schulhoff’s evocative Concertino for flute, viola and double-bass, and captivated by Zoltan Kodaly’s Serenade op.12 for two violins and viola (arr. for flute, violin and viola), brimming with Hungarian folk charm.
